When I was a child, every night as I drifted off to sleep, I had a fun game I liked to play. I would close my eyes and try to follow the shapes of light that would arise from the darkness. Suddenly, the light would become stronger and I would end up being swallowed up in the middle of that light. It literally felt like diving to the bottom of a large, warm ocean and made me feel at peace.
Even after becoming an adult, that feeling still arises unexpectedly in day-to-day life. As I dive to the very depths of my soul, light peers gradually into my inner self, abruptly appearing and continuously emanating. I touch a soft light and once again float back to the ground.
The light has always been there, but each time feels like I am discovering that existence for the first time. It allows me to dive deeply, feel the light and return, over and over.
